Dhule, Maharashtra: As part of its ongoing ‘Save Waqf Campaign’, the Welfare Party of India organized an important civil society meeting in Dhule. The event was presided over by the district president of the party, Mr. Mohammad Zaid. A Marathi booklet titled ‘Waqf Bachao’ was formally released on this occasion.
The booklet provides detailed insights into the new Waqf law, labelling it unconstitutional and anti-democratic. It argues that the law encroaches on the religious rights of the Muslim community and seeks to undermine their constitutional protections.
The event witnessed the participation of several prominent figures from various walks of life including social activists, intellectuals, and representatives from different organizations. The attendees praised the booklet as a powerful tool to spread awareness about the dangers posed by the new Waqf law.
