West Bengal: Two Sanatani Ekta Manch Members Arrested for Anti-India Graffiti and Attempt to Incite Communal Tension

West Bengal: In a disturbing incident aimed at disturbing communal harmony, West Bengal Police arrested two individuals — Chandan Malakar and Prajyajit Mondal — for allegedly pasting a Pakistani flag and writing “Hindustan Murdabad” on a wall near Akipur Railway Station. The duo are reported to be active members of a political outfit and the ‘Sanatani Ekta Manch’ organization, reported the Bengal Times.

According to police officials, the act was carried out with the intent to provoke communal unrest in the area. During investigation, it was discovered that the duo had deliberately placed the Pakistani flag on a public wall near a toilet at the railway station, under Gopalnagar Police Station limits.
The Bongaon Police posted on social media platform X, revealing that both Chandan and Prajyajit confessed to planning a provocative stunt that included the writing of “Hindustan Murdabad” and “Pakistan Zindabad” to spark tension. Authorities confirmed that strict action would be taken against those attempting to disturb peace through such conspiracies.
Both accused are known members of Sanatani Ekta Manch, a right-wing group, and are said to have political affiliations. Their arrest has raised serious concerns about the use of religious identity and extremist symbols to manipulate public sentiment and create division.
