New Delhi: Almost two months have passed since the formation of the new BJP government in Delhi. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, work is being carried out at the grassroots level, and the current BJP government is showing seriousness regarding the development of Delhi. Furthermore, every department of the government is actively engaged in its work, which is a matter of joy for the people of Delhi.
Now, the government should promptly reconstitute all defunct institutions under the Delhi government, especially the Urdu Academy Delhi, so that these institutions can have the opportunity to function with full strength. These thoughts were expressed by Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, National President of the Urdu Development Organisation (UDO).
He said that for any institution to function effectively, it must be reconstituted as soon as possible, and where a governing body is required, it should be formed. When the government establishes an institution, it does so with specific objectives in mind, and the planning is done accordingly, only then can the work proceed.
He added that the Urdu Academy Delhi plays a vital role in promoting the Urdu language, publishing books, and spreading Urdu to every household. Therefore, we urge the present Delhi government and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to expedite the reconstitution of defunct institutions, including the Urdu Academy Delhi.
Also, attention should be paid to the work that previous governments should have done for the betterment of these institutions but, unfortunately, could not accomplish.
Finally, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan said that he hopes the Delhi government will certainly fulfil this demand.
