Mohsina Parveen Appointed Telangana Information Commissioner

Hyderabad: Mohsina Parveen, a lawyer, is one of the four State Information Commissioners in the Telangana Information Commission. A former corporator of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), she also served for several years as a member of the three-member judicial panel of the Telangana State Waqf Tribunal.

An advocate with 23 years of standing, she also served as presiding arbitrator under Multi-State Co-Operative Societies Act, adhoc advocate for State Women Commission and Standing Counsel for State Information Commission.

She was also member of the Hyderabad district committee to check atrocities on women, sexual harassment of women at work workplace.

The state government appointed Mohsina Parveen as the State Information Commissioner under minorities quota.

P.V. Srinivas Rao, Deshala Bhoopal and Boreddy Ayodhya Reddy are the other information commissioners appointed by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.

According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, the governor, in exercise of the power conferred by Section 15(3) of the Right to Information Act, 2005,  appointed state information commissioners.

They will hold the office for three years from the date on which he/she enter upon his office or till he/she attain the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

The newly appointed information commissioners on Tuesday met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and thanked him.

The Governor recently appointed retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer G. Chandrasekhar Reddy as State Chief Information Commissioner.
