Jaipur: The Children Islamic Organization (CIO), Rajasthan successfully conducted a two-day Mentors Training Workshop on 17–18 May, aimed at enhancing the skills and vision of its mentors. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, setting a spiritual tone for the sessions ahead.
Key national and state-level leaders of CIO and JIH graced the event and shared their insights. Among the speakers were Tanveer Ahmed (Secretary, CIO Markaz), Hina Farhan (Executive Committee Member, CIO Markaz), Sumaiyya Maryam (Assistant Secretary, Women’s Wing, JIH Markaz), Khan Mubashshira (Assistant Secretary, CIO Markaz), and Nasir Hasan (HRD In-charge, Rajasthan). The gathering was further honoured by the presence of the Ameer-e-Halqa, Rajasthan, who shared an inspiring address titled Zaad-e-Raah. Rubina Abrar, Secretary of CIO Rajasthan, coordinated the event.
Throughout the workshop, various sessions were held to strengthen mentor capabilities. Hina Farhan led a creative craft activity and delivered impactful talks on topics like “Why Only CIO Circles?” and the broader responsibilities of mentors. Tanveer Ahmed emphasized the vision and mission of CIO and discussed the importance of teamwork in grassroots organizations.
Khan Mubashshira highlighted how leadership qualities can be cultivated in children through a balanced approach to intellectual development, spirituality, art, and culture.
Additionally, Samar-ul-Khair and Sidra Shakeel, CIO Committee members, facilitated interactive physical and mental exercises to keep participants engaged and energized. A panel discussion moderated by Zainul Abideen provided a platform for five selected mentors to share their thoughts and experiences.
Participants expressed deep appreciation for the program, stating that the training clarified many of their doubts and boosted their confidence in their mentoring roles.
