Mangaluru: Education alone does not guarantee success; personality, interests, and life skills are equally essential in shaping one’s future, said Ameen-e-Mudassar, CEO of CIGMA and renowned career coach of India. He was speaking at the ‘Bearys Campus Connect’ program organized at the Bearys Knowledge Campus in Inoli, Mangaluru, reported the Varta Bharati.
Addressing students and parents, Ameen-e-Mudassar emphasized that success is a combination of hard work, discipline, and value-based living. He urged students to focus on their dreams while also building good character and habits.
He also called on parents to move beyond just academic marks and support their children’s life choices. “Marks matter, but mental peace matters more. If children are under pressure before exams, they may break down after them,” he cautioned.
Highlighting the importance of foundational education, he said SSLC and PUC lay the groundwork for future success, and performance in undergraduate studies is critical for career advancement. “There are around 22 entrance exams in India, and good scores in them open multiple career doors,” he said.
He strongly encouraged the daily habit of reading newspapers among students. “Without reading, knowledge cannot grow. Language doesn’t matter, the habit does,” he added.
District Minority Welfare Officer Jinendra Kotian provided insights into various scholarships and hostel facilities available for minority students. The program saw the participation of officials and educationists including BEADS Principal R. Khaleel Razzak, Polytechnic College Director Prof. Prithviraj, and PU College Principal Abdul Latif.
BIT Principal Dr. S.I. Manjur Basha welcomed the attendees, while Dr. Aziz Mustafa B. introduced the guest speaker. Dr. Abdullah Gubbi proposed the vote of thanks. The event was anchored by lecturers Miaz, Hanina Sheikh, and Afreena.
The program included scholarship awareness sessions, felicitation of SSLC, PUC, and diploma toppers, a display of over 55 innovative student projects, sports encouragement for students, and a vibrant food festival. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from parents and students across regions.
