New Delhi: A viral video has sparked controversy after it allegedly showed Manoharlal Dhakad, the husband of a BJP-backed panchayat member, involved in a compromising act with a woman along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The footage, reportedly filmed on May 13, captures the duo outside a white car registered under Dhakad’s name, engaged in inappropriate behavior, reported the Mint.
Dhakad, who served as the national secretary of the Dhakad Mahasabha in Ujjain, has been sacked by the organization following the incident. His wife, Sohan Bai, is currently serving as a BJP-backed member of the Mandsaur District Panchayat, representing Ward No. 8.
While there were initial claims that Dhakad was a BJP member, Mandsaur BJP district president Rajesh Dixit clarified that he is not a primary member of the party. The incident has caused embarrassment for the local BJP unit and has reignited discussions around public decency and accountability of those associated with political figures.
