Makkah – As over a million pilgrims gathered at the plains of Arafat during Haj 2025, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, the respected Imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, delivered a soul-stirring sermon at Namira Mosque, touching hearts across the Islamic world, reported the Siasat.
In a passionate and heartfelt address, Sheikh bin Humaid offered moving supplications for the people of Palestine, invoking divine help for the hungry, the fearful, and those suffering under oppression. His emotional prayers for their protection deeply moved many pilgrims, as the sermon echoed across the sacred plain of Arafat.
Beyond the call for Palestine, Sheikh bin Humaid’s sermon included prayers for Muslims across the globe — seeking unity, mutual understanding, and improved conditions for believers in the East and West. He asked Allah ﷻ to grant forgiveness, righteous offspring, ease in personal affairs, and acceptance of Hajj and other acts of worship.
The sermon also emphasized the importance of discipline during the pilgrimage. Sheikh bin Humaid urged pilgrims to follow all rules and regulations of Haj with sincerity and devotion, reminding them that this adherence reflects the core principles of Islam — cooperation, order, and moral responsibility.
Meanwhile, the weather in Arafat reached an intense 45 degrees Celsius by 3 pm, as reported by the National Center of Meteorology. Winds blowing from the southwest at speeds of 16 km/h contributed to the challenging conditions, prompting authorities to stress precautionary measures for pilgrim safety.
This year’s Haj is being observed from June 4 to June 9, with Eid al-Adha celebrated on June 6. The Day of Arafat remains one of the holiest and most spiritually significant days in the Islamic calendar. Sheikh bin Humaid’s sermon this year will be remembered as a powerful call for compassion, peace, and global Muslim unity.
