Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated Wednesday that the country will continue responding to Israeli attacks and “will never negotiate with Israel.”
“We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy,” Khamenei said via X.
Tensions have escalated after Israel launched airstrikes on multiple Iranian sites—including military and nuclear facilities—last Friday. In retaliation, Tehran conducted missile strikes against Israel.
According to Israeli authorities, at least 24 people have been killed and hundreds injured in the Iranian attacks. Iran, meanwhile, reported 224 deaths and over 1,000 wounded from the Israeli strikes.
