Children’s organization CIO to run a month-long plantation campaign across India
The Children Islamic Organisation (CIO) has unveiled the logo for its upcoming month-long nationwide plantation campaign, which is set to begin on June 25. The official launch event was held at the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, where a large number of children and women participated enthusiastically.
Under this campaign, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind aims to plant one million trees across the country. The released logo features the slogan “Hands in Soil, Heart with India”, which aims to spread awareness across India about fighting environmental pollution through afforestation.
The event’s chief guest, S. Aminul Hasan, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, unveiled the campaign logo and conveyed his best wishes. Addressing the children, he emphasized the importance of planting as many trees as possible to ensure a better future. Highlighting the dangers of environmental pollution, he stated that a pollution-free environment is crucial for a healthy society, and tree plantation is a major step in achieving this.
CIO Secretary Syed Tanveer Ahmed also addressed the children and spoke about the significance of tree plantation. He explained how trees benefit humanity in multiple ways, such as providing food, oxygen, and adding to the beauty of nature. Outlining the objectives of the campaign, he said it aims to instill a love for greenery in children and encourage them to actively participate in planting trees.
The CIO has been working towards the Islamic upbringing of children aged 5 to 10 and instilling social awareness in them. Through this campaign, the organization also seeks to raise public consciousness about environmental issues while nurturing a sense of social responsibility among young minds.
The event witnessed a strong presence of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind members along with numerous women and children.
