AMU Students Shine in Spirited Debate on Modern Teaching Methods held at JNMC’s Dept. of Anatomy

Aligarh: Showcasing the creative spirit of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students, the Department of Anatomy, JNMC, organised an engaging debate competition titled War of Words. Two spirited teams dedicated to well-known resources in Anatomy and Medical Education, Cunningham and Gray, deliberated on the topic, “Modern technology and digitalisation can replace traditional methods of teaching.”

Held under the guidance of Prof. Fazal ur Rehman, Head of the Department, the event was coordinated by Dr. Nema Usman, Assistant Professor, with mentorship from Dr. Dilshad Khan, Dr. Viswani Vijayan, and Dr. Parbin Chaudhury. Prof. Fatima Khan (Microbiology) and Dr. Shazia Parveen (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) judged the competition.

Team Gray’s emerged victorious, with Faizan, Hashir, and Varisha securing the first, second, and third prizes respectively. Prof. Rehman lauded such initiatives for nurturing confidence, critical thinking, and collaborative learning among medical students and junior residents.
