A brutal incident in Alwar’s Khairthal-Kishangarh area has triggered public anger. A 22-year-old Dalit youth, Hansraj, was abducted and tortured on July 14, 2025. He was kidnapped from Bala Dehra village under Vijay Mandir police station while returning home on his bike from Dehra bus stand.
A group of 6-7 men in a Bolero car blindfolded him and took him to a forest. There, they beat him severely. They recorded a video of him pleading in pain. The video was sent to his family along with a ransom demand of ₹3.5 lakh.
Out of fear, the family transferred ₹50,000 to the given bank account. Acting on a tip-off, Alwar police tracked the culprits. They set up a blockade at a toll plaza in Bundi district. Four suspects were arrested, and Hansraj was rescued safely.
Two of the accused are from Bundi, and two are from Khairthal, according to the initial investigation.
Mohammad Nazimuddin, State President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Rajasthan, strongly condemned the act. He called it shameful, inhumane, and a serious law-and-order failure. He said such incidents reflect growing intolerance and violence against marginalized communities.
He added, “Atrocities on Dalits, minorities, and backward classes are rising. This is alarming for social harmony and shows administrative failure.” He demanded immediate and strict action against the culprits. He urged the government to ensure safety for vulnerable communities.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also expressed deep sorrow. He said, “I am shocked. The video is horrific. I have never seen something like this in my life. A Dalit youth was stripped, kidnapped, and taken from Alwar to Bundi. The video was sent to his family. What does this say about our state?”
He added, “If such incidents happen in just one and a half years, what will happen in five years? Every citizen should be concerned.”
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Rajasthan, called the act a violation of social justice. It urged society to unite against such crimes. The organization expressed solidarity with the victim’s family. It also promised to offer full support.
