Vijayawada: The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) of Andhra Pradesh has announced the launch of a 10-day state-level campaign titled “Morality & Digital Ethics: Restoring Modesty | Attaining Manners” from 20th to 31st July 2025. This initiative aims to address the rising moral and digital challenges among the student and youth community across the state.
The campaign comes in response to growing concerns over the negative influence of digital platforms, social media addiction, unethical behaviour, irresponsible lifestyle trends, and a general disconnect from moral and spiritual values. SIO aims to provide constructive awareness, rooted in Islamic and universal ethical principles, to help students and youth navigate these challenges responsibly.
Key Focus Areas of the Campaign
Moral Integrity: Highlighting the importance of honesty, humility, modesty, and civic responsibility.
Digital Ethics: Raising awareness about data privacy, cyberbullying, misinformation, and screen addiction.
Sexual Morality: Promoting responsible behaviour, modesty, and the Islamic view on relationships and chastity.
Financial Ethics: Educating about ethical earnings, the dangers of interest (riba), and responsible financial practices.
Campaign Activities
The campaign will feature a rich blend of offline and online activities at both zone and unit levels, including:
- Press Meets, Pamphlet Distribution, Poster Campaigns
- Social Media Storms, Podcasts, Detox Challenges, Short Films
- Campus Lectures, Jumma Khutbas, Corner Meets, Documentary Screenings
- Competitions, Article Writing, Wall Hangers, and Graffiti Drives
- One-on-One engagement targeting Muslim and non-Muslim students in 1:10 ratio
The campaign is designed to be deeply engaging and action-oriented, with a strong focus on youth participation and community outreach. An orientation programme for campaign coordinators was held on 18th July 2025, ensuring proper execution of activities at the grassroots level.
SIO Andhra Pradesh has invited educational institutions, media houses, and community leaders to support and amplify the message of this much-needed campaign, striving to rebuild a generation that is morally upright and digitally responsible.
