Lucknow: A one-day free medical camp was organised at Iradat Nagar, Daliganj under the auspices of Zakat and Charitable Foundation (ZCF). The camp aimed to provide basic health facilities and timely diagnosis of illnesses to common people, and raise medical awareness among the general public.
More than 150 people benefited from the camp, receiving free check-ups and medicines. Over 90 patients came forward for blood sugar, blood pressure and general health check-ups. Free medicines were also provided for the beneficiaries.
A panel of specialised doctors was present in the camp. They included Dr. Farid Ahmad, Dr. Ashraf Najeeb, Dr. Huda and Dr. Aamir. Dr. Farid Ahmad said that many patients came with fungal infection, fever, weakness and skin diseases, who were provided with instant treatment. He also provided useful suggestions on how to maintain good health. His suggestions included maintaining cleanliness, keeping from habits causing health hazards like smoking, and pan/gutka chewing, and avoiding fast food. He also encouraged the visitors to provide home-made and balanced food for children to ensure their sound health.
Mr. Zafaruddin Ansari, Mr. Farooq Khan, Mr. Muhammad Arif and Mr. Asad Ali contributed a lot to the successful organisation of the camp.
The ZCF functionaries said that the Foundation will continue to hold such camps in the interest of the general public.
