Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sheikh Aadil has been reinstated into service. The order came after the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir closed all departmental proceedings against him. Reliable sources confirmed the development on Tuesday.
The decision followed a detailed probe by multiple agencies. Investigators found no merit in the allegations under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Sources said the investigating agency marked the case as “not proved,” clearing him of all charges.
In a related case, the Hon’ble Court dismissed the charge sheet filed under allied sections of the IPC. The court cited lack of evidence after legal review.
Sources said the Inquiry Commission conducted a fair and thorough examination. It concluded Sheikh Aadil was not involved in any wrongdoing. The Intelligence Wing also carried out an independent assessment. It later issued a clean chit.
Based on these findings, the J&K Government officially closed the case. It ordered Sheikh Aadil’s immediate return to duty.
The reinstatement ends months of legal and departmental scrutiny. It clears the officer of any professional or criminal misconduct.
