Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) Andhra Pradesh has announced a state-wide campaign titled “Andhra Education Movement” to study and address challenges in the education sector. The movement is going on from August 15 to September 30, 2025.
As part of this campaign, a poster launch program was held near Umar Bin Khattab Masjid, Yerragondapalem. The event was attended by SIO Andhra Pradesh Media Secretary Abdur Raqeeb, Unit President Riyaz, Unit Secretary Safiyulla, along with members Nasar, Irfan, and Arafath.
Later, the delegation met Mandal Education Officer Anjaneyulu and submitted a memorandum highlighting issues in the education sector and held discussions on possible solutions. Following this, campus lectures were organised at Krishna Veni Talent School, where they met with Principal Dr. Krishna, and Vice Principal Rahaman and presented pen, memorandum and conducted awareness sessions for students.
Goals of Andhra Education Movement
- To analyse the current state of education through surveys and research
- To promote collective responsibility towards educational development
- To actively involve students in educational reforms
Focus Areas: Present condition of school and higher education, enrolment and dropout rates, rural-urban disparities. State education policy, budget allocation, and equitable distribution of resources.
Implementation of Right to Education (RTE) Act in Andhra Pradesh: Higher education, research, innovation, and talent development.
Activities: Press meets, students’ meetings, intellectual sessions, corner meetings, academic help desk (career guidance, dropout support, scholarships), RTE implementation surveys, awareness campaigns, round table discussions, and online conferences on higher education and talent development.
This state-wide movement aims to make education inclusive, equitable, and future-ready by exploring realities, encouraging participation, and empowering the next generation.
