925 Units of Blood Collected at Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Nagpur, Drive Organized by JIH, YMM, MSS and SIO

Nagpur: A large-scale blood donation drive marked Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Nagpur, where seven camps were organized under the joint initiative of Youth Movement of Maharashtra (YMM), Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Nagpur, Medical Service Society (MSS), and Students Islamic Organisation (SIO). The campaign, in its 18th year, collected a total of 925 units of blood.

The main camp was held at New Chopde Lawn, Awasthi Chowk, and was inaugurated by MLA Vikas Thakre. Present on the occasion were Salman Khan, a descendant of Gond Raja, Gurudev Seva Mandal’s Ramdas Tekade, social worker Shailesh Pandey, and JIH Nagpur President Dr. Nurul Amin. YMM member Sameerullah Khan felicitated Ramesh Chopde and social activist Narendra Jichkar for their support.

Other camps were inaugurated by PI B. R. Raut of Panchpaoli Police Station, MSS city president Dr. Naim Niyazi, MPCC vice president Adv. Asif Qureshi, Islamic scholar Dr. Muhammad Asjad Madni Nadvi of Muradabad, Humaira Mariam Hussain, and Haji Mohammad Shoeb Ansari.

The event also witnessed the felicitation of MLA Dr. Nitin Raut, Gujarat Samaj Mandal president Jayesh Parekh, and Residential High School president Mubeen. The organizers highlighted that the initiative aimed to serve humanity by addressing the growing demand for blood in hospitals.

The blood donation drive demonstrated unity across communities, with participation from social leaders, activists, and public representatives. JIH media secretary Dr. M. A. Rashid shared details of the event.
