Bengaluru: Housing, Minorities Welfare and Wakf Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan launched the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation’s (KMDC) loan and subsidy schemes for the year 2025-26.
For the first time, a scheme has also been introduced to support those who suffer losses in residential or commercial activities due to communal riots or natural calamities. Under this initiative, loans upto Rs.5 lakh will be provided with 50% will be given as subsidy and the remaining Rs.2.5 lakh as a loan at an interest rate of 3%.
Online applications have been invited for the schemes Professional Encouragement Direct Loan, Overseas Educational Loan, Incentive Assistance to Silk Reelers. The incentive assistance of upto Rs. 2 lakh to silk reelers – which had been in force earlier but was later discontinued – has now been reintroduced.
Online applications have been invited for the schemes. Applications can be submitted until October 16.
