Mumbai: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maharashtra has announced that it will hold a press conference to address the issue of the Waqf law and repeated attempts at blasphemy, which leaders say cannot be tolerated.
The press conference is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 1st October 2025, from 03:30 PM to 05:00 PM, at the Mumbai Press Club.
Several prominent leaders from different communities and organizations will participate in the event. Those expected to attend include: Maulana Ubedullah Azmi, Ex MP and Vice President of All India Muslim Personal Law, Mr. Qasim Rasool, Spokesperson, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Delhi, Retd. Justice Abhay Thipsay, State President, APCR, Adv. Dr. Suresh Mane, Founder National President of Bahujan Republican Socialist Party, Mr. Harvinder Singh, Senior Leader, Sikh Samaj, Maulana Aga Ruhe Zafar, Maulana Anis Ashrafi, Maulana Mehmood Daryabadi, Convener, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maharashtra. This program aims to bring together voices from diverse communities to address concerns over religious freedoms, blasphemy, and the implications of the Waqf law.
