Aligarh: Mr. Mohd Waseem and Ms. Uzma Afzal, research scholars in the Department of West Asian and North African Studies at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), presented their research papers at the 9th International Academic Forum on Asia and the Middle East. The forum was organised by the Middle East Studies Institute, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai, China.
The theme of the forum was “The World and the Middle East from the Perspective of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind: Great Changes and New Developments.”
Mr. Mohd Waseem presented his paper titled “The Role of Non-Arab Resident Households in the Knowledge-Based Societies or Knowledge Economies of the Gulf”, while Ms. Uzma Afzal presented her paper titled “Navigating Great Power Rivalries: US-China Competition and Qatar’s Strategic Balance in the Gulf.”
