Los Angeles: Pray.com, one of the leading digital faith platforms, is using Artificial Intelligence to transform how people engage with the Bible. Through its “AI Bible” project, the app creates cinematic, visually rich interpretations of scripture that make ancient stories accessible to today’s audiences.
Max Bard, Vice President of Content at Pray.com, described the initiative as a way to “glorify God and build community” through technology. With more than 6,500 pieces of audio and video content, the app functions as a digital hub for prayer, sermons, and scripture, often called a “Spotify for church.”
The AI Bible content, available on YouTube, blends human creativity with machine learning tools such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini. Human writers, pastors, and musicians develop scripts and soundtracks, while AI generates detailed visuals and sound effects. This process allows Pray.com to produce high-quality faith-based videos on a scale previously impossible within traditional media budgets.
The videos explore major biblical themes, including creation, good and evil, and spiritual struggle. Popular releases depict moments such as God’s command “Let there be light” and the story of the Nephilim, bringing to life narratives often confined to text.
Co-founder and CTO Ryan Beck said AI is not replacing faith but expanding its reach, much like the printing press did for earlier generations. Pray.com also uses AI tools like Praise Studio to translate sermons into multiple languages, enabling pastors to reach global audiences in their own voices.
The platform is now preparing a weekly AI-generated series that will follow biblical figures from Genesis to Revelation, marking a new chapter in digital faith storytelling.
