Jeddah, Dec. 29: After concluding its relocation from the previous headquarters, the General Secretariat of the 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has started operations from its new headquarters in Al-Rayan District, northeast Jeddah. The new headquarters offers bigger capabilities for the OIC’s work and also provides support for the organization’s operations and campaigns.
On this occasion, Hissein Brahim Taha, OIC Secretary-General, extended profound gratitude and appreciation to Saudi Arabia, chair of the 14th Islamic Summit, through King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for all the constant material and moral support.
The Secretary-General stated that the OIC General Secretariat has already commenced operations at the new headquarters, where several meetings have been held in the last few days. He assured me that the building is fully ready to receive guests from the OIC and host activities.
