The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Hamas welcomed the suit filed by South Africa at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people committed by Israel.
South Africa’s action is seen as a significant step towards holding the leaders of the entity accountable for the worst atrocities in contemporary history.
“We highly appreciate South Africa’s move to submit a request to the International Court of Justice to initiate proceedings to investigate the Zionist entity’s criminal act of committing genocide against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas said in a statement.
Hamas called on all countries to submit similar cases to competent national and international courts against this Nazi entity, considering it a threat to international peace and security. This is to ensure it doesn’t escape punishment for the heinous crimes committed against children and innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The OIC also called upon the Court to respond expeditiously and take urgent measures to stop this mass genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli defense forces in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Meanwhile, Hamas strongly condemned the US administration’s provision of heavy-caliber artillery ammunition to Israel, saying the action will further implicate the US in the ongoing war of extermination directed against innocent children and vulnerable civilians.
The American administration’s endorsement of selling high-caliber artillery ammunition to the Zionist occupation entity amid the war of extermination conducted by its army against civilians in the Gaza Strip and Secretary Blinken’s affirmation of the urgent provision of this ammunition without Congress review are clear evidence of the American administration’s full sponsorship of this criminal war.
“The Biden administration conspicuously aligns itself with and actively supports all atrocities perpetrated by the occupation, encompassing the ruthless killing of children and civilians, forced displacement of residents, and the systematic destruction of civilian life in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas stated. It urged all nations across the globe, especially those that supported ending the Zionist fascist aggression against children and defenseless civilians in the UN General Assembly, to expose the unjust and criminal policies of the American administration.
