Jaipur, Jan. 19: The Hindu-Muslim Ekta Samajik Samiti (Hindu-Muslim Unity Social Committee) organized a Diwali and New Year’s Reunion Ceremony on Thursday.
The ceremony began with the lighting of a lamp. Thereafter, speaking as Chief Guest, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said the objective of the Committee is to maintain communal harmony. He said the police will always stand with this committee and make every effort to maintain communal harmony.
Special Guest Kanwatia Hospital Superintendent RS Tanwar said that in hospitals, we treat the patient first, we don’t ask about his caste or religion. He said this is the religion of every human being. The greatest religion is humanity.
Firojuddin, senior Vice President of the Committee, said the purpose of this ceremony is to promote communal harmony. In this ceremony, people from Hindu and Muslim communities celebrated the joy of Diwali and New Year together. Our committee also celebrates Eid and Holi Milan ceremonies. It also aims to eradicate social evils, but the main objective is to promote communal harmony and goodwill. We aim to stop the spread of religious hatred that is going on nowadays. We go to each other’s houses at festivals and congratulate them. Some people spread misunderstandings between Hindus and Muslims for political gain and promote hatred. Our committee works to remove such misunderstandings.
The Committee’s efforts are essential for building a more peaceful and tolerant society. Its activities help foster understanding and goodwill between Hindus and Muslims.
Jaipur North Deputy Commissioner of Police Rashi Dogra Dudi also participated as Special Guest.
The program was presided over by Gyan Chand Khandelwal and the vote of thanks was given by Nizam Bhati. The program coordinator was Ashish Gupta and it was conducted by Kailash Yadav. At the end of the program, all the members had a meal together.
