SBF Organizes Disaster Training Workshop

Roorkee, Jan. 23: To equip the youth with essential skills for disaster management, Society for Bright Future (SBF) organized a District Disaster Training Workshop at Maharaja Palace here. The event aimed at introducing new members to the society and providing comprehensive guidelines for becoming effective volunteers in times of crisis.

The workshop, led by experienced trainer Mohd Shahzad, covered a range of topics crucial for disaster preparedness. Attendees were trained in disaster management principles, educated on disaster terminology, including hazard, vulnerability, and mitigation strategies, and a mock drill was conducted to simulate emergency scenarios. The training encompassed various aspects of disaster response, including first aid techniques, utilization of firefighting equipment, and the art of stretcher-making.

Dr. Tahir, Md. Shadab, Md. Idris, and Md. Abdul Shamad graced the occasion with their presence. SBF, committed to fostering a culture of preparedness, regularly conducts training sessions at the district, state, and central levels.

Various training modules, such as First Aid and CSR training, were incorporated to enhance participants’ understanding and skills.

The workshop underlined community-driven disaster preparedness and the vital role trained volunteers play in such situations.
