Divyodaya Hosts Peace and Harmony Program

“The Bonds that unite us are stronger than the barriers that separate us.”

 

Coimbatore, Jan. 24: Divyodaya, the Inter-Religious Centre of Coimbatore, organised a Peace and Harmony Program at the Divyodaya Auditorium here Wednesday. The event served as a platform for interfaith leaders to converge and engage in discussions surrounding peace and social harmony across religions.

Distinguished interfaith leaders participated, fostering dialogue and understanding among diverse religious communities. Notably, more than a hundred students from various schools actively took part in this event, emphasizing the engagement of the younger generation in promoting communal harmony.

Abdul Hakkim, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Tamil Nadu, delivered a poignant speech. He highlighted that for peace and harmony to prevail in India, there must be a collective effort to establish justice in society. He emphasized that the path to justice is intricately linked with the path to peace, emphasizing the significance of multi-religious discussions in achieving these goals.

The event also witnessed the presence of Thajudeen, in-charge of the Knowledge Centre, and Sabir Ahmad, Media Secretary of JIH Tamil Nadu, underscoring the collaborative and inclusive nature of the program.

The Peace and Harmony Program at Divyodaya served as a beacon of unity, bringing together diverse voices to advocate for justice, peace, and social harmony. The active participation of interfaith leaders and students reflects a collective commitment to fostering understanding and building a more inclusive society.
