Jaipur-Mumbai train shooting: Asgar Ali’s family gets house

– Raheem Khan

Jaipur, Jan. 29: On July 31, 2023, RPF jawan Chetan Singh shot dead 4 people in the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast train. Asghar Ali, a resident of Bhattabasti, was also among those killed in the train firing incident. As his family was very poor, he was living in a rented house. After this tragic incident, the deceased Asghar’s family was given financial support by the general public and various social organizations. From the amount collected, the family has bought a ready-made house in Bhattabasti.

Late Asghar’s family on Sunday invited a team of Sanyukt Sangharsh Morcha to this house. Pappu Qureshi, Yunus Chopdar, and Akram Khan Kayamkhani of the Morcha met with the family members at the house of late Asghar.

Pappu Qureshi congratulated the family of late Asghar on the purchase of their new house, and hoped that this house would be a source of happiness for their family.

Late Asghar’s family expressed gratitude to the Morcha team.

Asghar Ali, originally from Bihar, was the only support of the family. That day he was going from Jaipur to Mumbai in search of employment. There are four daughters and one son in his family. All the children are still very young.

Local people expressed great displeasure over the murder of Asghar Ali, calling it a murder based on religious identity. They also demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore from the Rajasthan government for the education and upbringing of the children, a house for Asghar’s family and a government job to someone in the family.

This is a heartwarming story of how the community came together to help the family of a martyr. It’s a reminder that there is still good in the world.
