Wimberly Gunj, Port Blair, March 10: In honor of International Women’s Day, Future Healthcare Superspeciality Hospital hosted a special event titled “Her Health” at the hospital auditorium here Friday. The event aimed to celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness about various aspects of women’s health.
The program commenced with a heartfelt prayer song performed by the hospital staff, setting a serene and uplifting atmosphere for the event.
Following this, Farheen Nisha, a dedicated staff member, delivered the opening speech, extending warm greetings to all attendees.
Dr. Gisha SivaDas, the esteemed Chairperson of the Hospital, delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the indomitable spirit and remarkable accomplishments of women. Dr. SivaDas highlighted the invaluable contributions of women across different fields and stressed the need to recognize and celebrate their achievements.
The inaugural address was given by the Chief Guest, Indu Manish, who expressed admiration for the resilience and strength exhibited by women. She underscored the importance of empowering women and creating opportunities for their advancement in all spheres of life.
Dr. Nazira addressed the audience, shedding light on the significance of nutrition and healthy eating habits for women’s well-being. She emphasized the prevalence of anemia among women and stressed the importance of a balanced diet in maintaining good health.
Dr. Anjali extended her warm wishes to the audience, emphasizing the significance of International Women’s Day and celebrating the achievements of women worldwide.
Staff Nurse Salama Bibi shared motivational verses and heartfelt wishes, inspiring the audience with her words of encouragement.
A special talk was delivered by Sajida Zubair, Counselor at IPERC, focusing on the importance of mental healthcare for women. Sajida elaborated on the need for women to prioritize their emotional well-being and provided insights into effective strategies for maintaining mental wellness.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Abinaya, expressing gratitude to all participants and contributors for their valuable contributions. More than 30 women actively participated in the event, making it a resounding success in promoting awareness about women’s health and empowerment. The Hospital also announced the establishment of a new counseling section aimed at providing comprehensive support for women’s mental health.
