Veteran journalist Zafar Agha dies

New Delhi, March 22, Zafar Agha, a seasoned journalist with almost five decades of experience and Editor-in-Chief of the National Herald, died of cardiac arrest in Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj here  Friday. He was 70.

Agha embarked on his journalistic journey in 1979 with Link magazine. Throughout his illustrious career, he contributed to the Patriot, Business and Political Observer, and India Today as political editor.

He also made significant contributions to ETV, Inquilab Daily, and the National Herald group, where he served as the editor of Qaumi Awaz and eventually rose to the position of Editor-in-Chief of the National Herald.

He also played a pivotal role as a member and later as the officiating chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions until 2017.
