New Delhi, April 18: Jamia Millia Islamia, a renowned Central University in New Delhi, has announced a revised notification inviting applications for its Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) offering free coaching with hostel facilities for the Civil Services Examination 2025. This initiative is targeted towards minorities, Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and women.
The coaching programme, designed to prepare candidates for the Civil Services Preliminary and Main examinations, will include comprehensive training in General Studies, Ethics, CSAT, selected optional papers, test series, answer evaluation, discussions, and essay writing practice. Additionally, mock interviews, current affairs classes, and support sessions will be provided to assist candidates in qualifying for the main examinations of the UPSC Civil Services.
According to the schedule outlined in the notification, the key dates for the coaching programme are as follows:
– Online Application: The online application process commenced on March 18, 2024.
– Last Date for Submission: Interested candidates can submit their applications until June 19, 2024.
– Entrance Test Date: The entrance test, comprising General Studies (objective type) and Essay writing, will be held on June 29, 2024.
– Result Announcement: Tentative result of the written test will be declared on July 20, 2024.
– Interviews: Online interviews are scheduled tentatively from July 29 to August 12, 2024.
– Final Result: The final selection list will be announced by August 14, 2024.
– Admission Completion: The admission process for selected candidates should be completed by August 19, 2024.
– Orientation Classes: Orientation for enrolled candidates is slated to begin on August 22, 2024.
The entrance test will be conducted across ten cities including Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Malappuram (Kerala). The test will evaluate candidates on general awareness, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and written communication skills.
It’s essential to note that only those candidates who have completed their graduation and are eligible to appear for the Civil Services Examination in 2025 are eligible to apply for this coaching programme. The coaching will be provided free of cost, with hostel accommodation being mandatory for all admitted students.
