Shiv Sena’s Aaditya Thackeray Claims Eknath Shinde Urged Uddhav Thackeray to Join BJP Amid Cash Allegations

25 Apr. 24: In a startling revelation, Shiv Sena MLA Aaditya Thackeray alleged that former Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde tearfully implored Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to forge an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after cash was discovered in his godown. This accusation comes amidst a backdrop of political tension in the state.

Aaditya Thackeray made these assertions while addressing a gathering in Pimpri-Chinchwad during the nomination filing of Sena candidate Sanjog Waghere. According to Thackeray, Eknath Shinde, during his tenure in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, approached Uddhav Thackeray at ‘Matoshree’, the Thackeray residence, in a state of distress, urging an alliance with the BJP.

The MLA claimed that the Modi government allegedly coerced Shinde to collaborate with the BJP or face potential arrest. These statements have intensified the political discourse in Maharashtra, highlighting the underlying complexities within the state’s political landscape.

The accusation made by Aaditya Thackeray underscores the intricate dynamics between the Shiv Sena and its political counterparts, especially in light of recent developments and the looming elections.
