New Delhi, April 25: The Markazi Taleemi Board (MTB), along with All India Ideal Teachers Association (AIITA) and Federation of Muslim Educational Institutions (India) (FMEII), jointly organized an online program aimed at addressing common perceptions about teaching on Monday.
Dr. Md. Javaid Hussain, Assistant Professor, Education Department at Jamia Millia Islamia, delivered insights on the reality of common perceptions regarding teaching. He emphasized the critical role of teachers in society, highlighting that they are often appreciated and respected yet also unfairly burdened with responsibility for any shortcomings in the education system.
Dr. Hussain pointed out a disparity where credit for educational achievements tends to be attributed elsewhere, neglecting the pivotal role of teachers. He stressed the need for personalized curriculum and engaging pedagogy, advocating for minimal reliance on technology in education.
In his advice to teachers, principals, and school administrators from across India who participated in the online program, Dr. Hussain encouraged a balanced approach to technology use, underscoring the importance of traditional teaching methods in creating a joyful and effective learning environment.
This initiative underscores the commitment of MTB and its partners to support and train teachers, recognizing their pivotal role as custodians of knowledge and society’s well-being.
