Hyderabad, April 30: The prestigious Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is set to reintroduce law education in Urdu, following a 74-year pause since the closure of law education in Urdu at Jamia Osmania, the world’s first Urdu university in Hyderabad. Osmania University offered the course since its inception in 1918 till it was dropped in 1950.
After a gap of 74 years, now MANUU has come forward to fill the vacuum. Prof. Ainul Hasan, the Vice Chancellor of MANUU made this official announcement regarding this significant development.
Recognizing the increasing demand for legal professionals, the University’s Law School now offers the following courses; 5 years BA LLB (Hons.) 3-year LLB, 2-year MA in Legal Studies, One year LLM with 6 specializations and PhD (Law).
