A Symbol of Communal Harmony: Coimbatore Priests Visit Masjidul Ihsan

27 July 2024: In a celebratory moment, a group of brothers who have spent 14 years training at the Coimbatore Nalla Ayan Guru Kulam College and have now been ordained as priests visited Masjidul Ihsan under the leadership of Father Thiru Wilson, Director of Divyodhaya on Friday.

Arriving in time for the Asr prayer, the visitors observed the prayer service with keen interest.

Following the prayer, a special event was held where the President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Coimbatore, P. S. Umar Farooq, presided over the gathering. He provided an introduction of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and elaborated on its various activities, highlighting the organization’s 80 years of service, its community outreach, and its efforts in promoting religious harmony.

Public Relations Secretary Abdul Hakkeem warmly welcomed everyone. Additionally, Masjidul Ihsan Imam Maulvi Muhammad Ismail Imdadi and Masjidul Huda Imam Maulvi Riyasteen As’hari delivered their greetings and best wishes.

Maulvi Muhammad Ismail Imdadi, a renowned scholar and speaker, who also serves as the Imam of Masjidul Ihsan and Secretary of the Translation Department, explained Islamic doctrines, principles, and worship practices in a simple manner. He also addressed various questions posed by the visitors about Islam, providing clear and thoughtful responses.

The visiting priests expressed their joy and gratitude, sharing that their doubts had been clarified and that the visit and interaction were profoundly fulfilling. They thanked the Almighty for the enlightening experience.

As a gesture of goodwill, copies of the Holy Quran and other Islamic literature were gifted to all attendees.

The event was truly a joyous occasion, marking a moment of interfaith understanding and mutual respect.
