Aamir Khan Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Says ‘Terrorists Are Not Muslims’

Mumbai— Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, asserting that such violent acts have no place in any religion. Responding to criticism over his delayed reaction to the incident, Aamir explained that not being on social media prevented him from reacting immediately like many of his peers, as per a report by the Times of India.
“The attack was a cruel act of cowardice. Entering our country and targeting innocent people — that’s not bravery. They even asked people their religion before shooting. What kind of ideology justifies this?” Aamir questioned. He emphasized that no religion, especially Islam, promotes violence and added, “I don’t consider the Pahalgam terrorists as Muslims.”
Aamir further clarified that while he may not be vocal online, his body of work speaks volumes. “I’ve done more patriotic films than many others in the industry,” he said, referring to his past works like Rang De Basanti and Laal Singh Chaddha.
He also revealed that the trailer launch of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par was postponed by ten days out of respect for the victims of the attack and the national mood following Operation Sindoor — India’s military retaliation on terror camps in Pakistan.
Aamir Khan’s remarks come amid a larger conversation in the entertainment industry on patriotism and public responsibility, particularly during times of national tragedy.
