Abu Dhabi to Host World’s Largest AI Data Centre

In a significant leap towards becoming a global technology hub, Abu Dhabi is set to host the world’s largest data centre dedicated to artificial intelligence. This groundbreaking initiative is being undertaken by G42, a UAE-based AI and cloud computing company, in collaboration with Cerebras Systems, a US-based tech firm known for its high-performance AI systems, reported the Madhyamam.
The data centre, named Condor Galaxy 3 (CG-3), will have a massive capacity of 4 exaFLOPs and will house 64 cutting-edge AI supercomputers. It will be established in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, marking a major milestone in the UAE’s ambitions to lead in the fields of AI and advanced computing.
The project is part of a broader partnership between G42 and Cerebras, aiming to create a network of AI supercomputers. The first two centres, Condor Galaxy 1 and 2, were launched in the US in 2023. CG-3 in Abu Dhabi will be the most advanced and powerful among them.
Expected to be operational by early 2025, the centre will play a crucial role in AI model training and deployment across sectors such as healthcare, energy, and finance. It is designed to accelerate innovation, enhance technological sovereignty, and attract global AI talent and investments to the region.
The UAE’s rapid strides in AI infrastructure highlight its commitment to becoming a leader in the digital economy.
