Aligarh: The Qur’anic Ecological Society of the K.A. Nizami Centre for Qur’anic Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, organised an academic programme featuring a scholarly table talk titled “How Plants and Animals Perform the Tasbīḥ of Allah.” The discussion explored the Qur’anic concept of the universal glorification of the Creator in light of contemporary scientific insights and ecological perspectives.
In the competition segment, Husain Ahmad (JNU) secured the first position, followed by Noorunnahar (AMU) in second place and Afiya Wahab (AMU) in third. Consolation prizes were awarded to Saiyed Saif Ali and Hira Fatima Kidwai.
Dr Hifzur Rahman Siddique (Department of Zoology) and Prof Zaki Anwar Siddiqui (Department of Botany) served as judges.
Patronised by Prof Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Honorary Director, KANCQS, the programme was organised under the guidance of Dr Faiza Abbasi, Director, UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre and Teacher-in-Charge of the Qur’anic Ecological Society. Dr Arshad Iqbal also participated in the deliberations. The session was conducted by research scholar Syed Mohammad Mobashshir, with Nazeeha Saud serving as Convenor.
