New Delhi, August 2: In a significant development, the Karkardooma Court has acquitted Nazmuddin alias Bhola and Mohd Ajeej, who were arrested in February 2020 in connection with North-East Delhi riots. The APCR has been providing continuous legal support to them throughout their ordeal.
“The Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) is pleased to announce the acquittal of Nazmuddin alias Bhola and Mohd Ajeej, who were arrested in February 2020 in connection with the North-East Delhi riots,” stated Nadeem Khan, the national secretary of APCR.
He highlighted the challenges faced by the accused, including the loss and destruction of Nazmuddin’s barber shop and Ajeej’s home during the riots. Despite these hardships, they were wrongfully accused and detained under several sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The acquittal of Nazmuddin and Mohd Ajeej on Friday, has brought immense relief to their families and renewed hope for those wrongfully accused. This case emphasizes the importance of thorough investigations and fair legal processes.
