Siswali: The Ahle Jamaat Eidgah Society has formally submitted a memorandum addressed to President Droupadi Murmu, demanding strict action against Yati Narsinghanand for his blasphemous remarks against Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Society has urged authorities to invoke the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) or the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA) in dealing with Narsinghanand’s inflammatory statements, which are designed to incite communal unrest.
Abdul Gafur Ansari, president of the Society, emphasized that India is a nation built on communal harmony, where people of all faiths have coexisted peacefully for centuries. He highlighted the fundamental right of every individual to practice their religion freely, warning that certain individuals are attempting to disrupt this harmony by fostering religious tensions.
The memorandum was submitted to Naib Tehsildar of Siswali, with the Society demanding strict legal action against Narsinghanand. Ansari condemned Narsinghanand’s derogatory comments as an attempt to gain notoriety and stir discord within the country. He reiterated that the global Muslim community has been deeply hurt by these remarks and that such behavior would not be tolerated.
The Muslim community in Siswali, standing united, called for the arrest of Yati Narsinghanand and registration of a case against him under the stringent provisions of UAPA or PASA.
