Mumbai: The Worli Police have registered a case against AIMIM leader Waris Pathan, his wife Gazala Pathan, son Arbaaz Pathan, and an unidentified individual for allegedly obstructing construction work at the Omkar 1973 building. The FIR, filed on February 17, is based on a complaint by Amol Patade, manager of Piramal Builders.
According to the complaint, Pathan and his family allegedly stopped carpenters and electricians from carrying out work in Flat No. 4305 on the 43rd floor, using abusive language and forcibly preventing them from proceeding. Following this, the police booked them under sections 3(5), 329(4), 352(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
In response, Waris Pathan filed a counter-complaint at the Worli Police Station, alleging intimidation and hooliganism by the builder. He accused Piramal Builders of harassment, claiming they were trying to pressure him and his family over a property dispute.
The police are currently investigating both complaints to establish the facts and determine further legal action.
