AIMIM Rajasthan Leader Submits Memorandum to District Collector, Demands Ban on Controversial Film

Tonk, May 26: On Friday, a delegation led by Advocate Kashif Khan Zuberi, AIMIM Rajasthan State General Secretary, submitted a memorandum to the District Collector of Tonk, addressed to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The memorandum pertained to the impending release of the Bollywood film ‘Hum Do Hamare Barah’.

Advocate Zuberi highlighted the rising discontent within the Muslim community over the film’s trailer, which has been widely disseminated on social media and other platforms. According to Zuberi, the trailer begins with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by scenes depicting violence against women, inappropriate dialogues, and images of men oppressing women, which he described as offensive and misleading.

“This portrayal is an insult to all women and an attempt to tarnish the image of Islam and the Muslim community,” Zuberi stated. He condemned the film’s content as a targeted attack on a particular religion, presenting falsehoods and misrepresentations under the guise of entertainment.

Zuberi urged the Rajasthan Government to involve the Central Film Certification Board under Section 12 of the Cinematography Act-1952, and to consult with public servants and community critics to gauge public reactions to such films.

He warned that the release of the film with its current content could provoke severe public outrage and jeopardize the state’s law and order. To maintain communal harmony and uphold public confidence in the legal system, Zuberi called for stringent measures against the dissemination of misinformation and the affront to religious sentiments.

The memorandum underscores the urgent need for the state government to address the concerns of the Muslim community and to ensure that films do not propagate harmful stereotypes or incite religious discord.
