AIUTC Condoles the Demise of Hakim Aftab Alam

Hakim Aftab Alam Was a Man of Noble Qualities: Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan

New Delhi: A condolence meeting was organised by the Pharmacy Wing of All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) under the chairmanship of Hakim Arbabuddin (President, Dawakhana) at Daryaganj, New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, he said that in today’s world, one of the biggest problems is the deterioration of human dealings, but the late Hakim Aftab Alam had the rare ability to handle matters with sincerity and integrity. That is why he became beloved by everyone in AIUTC.

During the meeting, the General Secretary of AIUTC, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, presented a resolution mourning the passing of Hakim Aftab Alam. He said that Hakim Aftab Alam was filled with noble qualities and had played a prominent role in advancing the movement of the Tibbi Congress, establishing himself as a man of strong character.

He also recalled that under the “Unani Upchar – Janta Ke Dwar, Mission 2025”, Hakim Aftab Alam had organised the 100th free Unani medical camp of the Congress at Nehru Vihar, New Delhi, with the help of young leader Aleem Ansari. More than 2,000 people benefited from this camp. During the inauguration, popular leader and former MLA Hassan Ahmed expressed deep admiration, saying, “I am truly impressed to see such a large free Unani medical camp. It is a commendable achievement.”

In their online messages, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed, National President of AIUTC (from London), and Dr. S.M. Hussain, Senior National Vice President (from Canada), expressed their sorrow and said, “We have lost a sincere and trustworthy companion.”

Others who shared their thoughts included Dr. Uzair Baqai, Hakim Naeem Raza, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Meerthi, and Dr. Ghayasuddin Siddiqui.

The condolence meeting saw large participation, including Dr. Ilyas Mazhar Hussain, Dr. Zakiuddin, Dr. Mahmood Alam, Dr. Altaf Ahmad, Dr. Shakeel Hapodi, Dr. Faheem Malik, Dr. Syed Mansoor Jamal Kazmi, Dr. Athar Mahmood, Dr. Faizan Ahmad Siddiqui, Hakim Mohammad Murtaza Dehlavi, Hakim Mohammad Naushad, Abu’l Wafa Azmi, Laiq Ahmad, Mohammad Asad (son of late Hakim Aftab Alam), Narendra Kumar, Mohammad Owais, Israr Ahmad Ujjaini, Nadeem Arif, and Mohammad Imran Kanauji, among others.

The meeting concluded with a prayer for forgiveness and eternal peace for the departed soul.
