All facilities must be available at district hospitals so that patients need not be referred elsewhere: Harendra Malik
Muzaffarnagar: The 131st Free Unani Medical Camp of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) was organised under the leadership of social activist Advocate Shah Jabeen Qazi, in collaboration with Khair-e-Ummat Islamic Foundation, at Madrasa Darul Uloom Husainiya, Tawli, Muzaffarnagar district. A large number of patients suffering from stomach and liver diseases, joint pain, and seasonal fevers were present. In addition to common ailments, eye and dental check-ups were also conducted, and free medicines were provided. Around 500 patients benefited from the camp.
On this occasion, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Mr. Harendra Malik, while addressing the gathering, said that efforts are being made to spread health awareness among people and to ensure that every individual can avail the facilities provided by the government. He emphasised that at least district-level hospitals should be fully equipped with all essential services so that patients do not face the inconvenience of being referred elsewhere. He further said that every Primary Health Centre should have full staff, medicines, and round-the-clock services.
Expressing happiness, he stated that in just five years the AIUTC has organised 131 free Unani mega medical camps, covering a wide scope. With a spirit of service, these camps have been held at temples, mosques, gurdwaras, and churches, benefiting thousands of people.
From Delhi, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, Prof. S.M. Arif Zaidi, noted leader Abdul Basit, Dr. Ilyas Mazhar Hussain, Dr. Altaf Ahmed, and Hakim Muhammad Murtaza Dehlvi participated, along with local doctors and leaders including Dr. Mohammad Danish, Dr. Syed Bilal, Dr. Mirza Asif Baig, Dr. Syed Yasir Kairanwi, Muslim Jat leader Sajid Chaudhary, Ashu Chaudhary, Aman Chaudhary, Hakim Muzammil Hussain Qadri, Dr. Anwar, Dr. Sultan Nawab, and Zeenat Chaudhary.

On this occasion, a demand was also made to the Government of Uttar Pradesh to open a Unani dispensary in Tawli so that people may continue to benefit from Unani medicine on permanent basis.
