New Delhi: Dr. Sabahatullah, National Secretary of All India Unani Tibbi Congress, has expressed happiness and extended congratulations to Professor Asim Ali Khan, Dean, School of Unani Medical Education & Research, and Chief Medical Superintendent, Majeedia Hospital, Jamia Hamdard, on his appointment as President of the Board of Unani, Siddha, and Sowa-Rigpa (BUSS), NCISM, New Delhi.
It is noteworthy that Prof. Asim Ali Khan has previously served as the Director General of CCRUM, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and is also a member of various committees under the Ministry of AYUSH.
Dr. Sabahatullah said that Prof. Khan is a dynamic personality, excellent teacher, and capable administrator. He expressed hope that Prof. Khan’s new appointment would significantly contribute to the promotion and advancement of Unani medicine. He further stated that All India Unani Tibbi Congress had expressed concern over the zero representation of Unani medicine at the time of the establishment of NCISM (2020) and had strongly demanded that, like the former CCIM, adequate representation of Unani medicine be ensured in NCISM. The Union Government accepted these demands, and for this, we are grateful to the government.
