Tibbi Congress will continue its mission of providing free healthcare services to the people in the future: Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan
New Delhi: The All India Unani Tibbi Congress organised its 100th free Unani medical camp under the “Unani Treatment at People’s Doorsteps: Mission 2025” initiative at Nehru Vihar of Mustafabad area here Sunday. The event was inaugurated by former MLA Hasan Ahmed, Congress candidate Ali Mehdi, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, and Congress leader Aleem Ansari.
Speaking at the event, Hasan Ahmed praised the efforts of Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, Secretary-General of All India Unani Tibbi Congress, for conducting free medical camps that benefit the public.
“These camps provide free medical facilities to people, especially the economically weaker sections, which is a noble cause. In today’s fast-paced life, where health often takes a backseat, such initiatives play a crucial role in spreading health awareness,” he said.
Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan shared details about the camp, stating that it marked the Congress’s 100th free Unani medical camp, with over 1,100 patients registered for consultations. The camp addressed various ailments such as fatty liver, seasonal fevers, joint pain, back pain, and diabetes. Patients received free medicines and underwent eye checkups.
Dr. Khan emphasised the dedication of Tibbi Congress members in ensuring the success of these camps. “Every member works tirelessly, which is why our camps are not only successful but also guide people towards better health and effective treatment,” he said. He reiterated the Congress’s commitment to continuing its free healthcare services in the future.
Highlighting the benefits of Unani medicine, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan remarked, “People trust Unani treatment because it is a pure and scientific system of medicine.”
The camp also catered to women, with Dr. Shahnaaz Parveen providing specialised consultations and health advice. Key contributors to the camp’s success included Aleem Ansari, Hakim Aftab Alam, and advocate Shah Jabeen Qazi, who played pivotal roles in organising the event.
Notable doctors and Unani practitioners who offered their services at the camp included Dr. Mohammad Arshad Ghayas, Dr. Habibullah (CMO), Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Meerthi, Dr. Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, Dr. Mirza Asif Baig, Hakim Murtaza Dehlvi, Dr. Faheem Malik, Dr. Islam Kairanvi, Dr. Zakiuddin, Mahmood Hasan Ansari, Shad Sheikh, Shaazan Malik, Muskan, and Sadiq.
The event demonstrated the Tibbi Congress’s commitment to accessible healthcare, highlighting the potential of Unani medicine in addressing contemporary health challenges.
