AIUTC Organises 137th Free Unani Medical Camp at Ballimaran

Unani medicine is a popular and preferred system of treatment for people: Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan

New Delhi: The 137th free Unani medical camp of All India Unani Tibbi Congress was organised at Barat Ghar, Baradari, Ballimaran. More than 800 patients were examined in the free medical camp, and medicines were distributed free of cost. The camp was inaugurated by Sheikh Aleemuddin Asadi, former member of Urdu Academy Delhi and a well-known social worker. Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan, General Secretary of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC), participated as the chief guest.

Highlighting the objectives of the medical camp, he said that the Unani system of medicine has been practised for centuries and remains a preferred method of treatment among people. He expressed happiness that through free Unani medical camps, AIUTC is helping Unani reach the masses.

While offering valuable advice to patients on staying healthy, he said that in today’s fast-paced life, it is most important to pay attention to our diet. He emphasised that breakfast is especially vital and should be nutritious. He also recommended including seasonal fruits and salad in the afternoon meal. Additionally, he advised having a light dinner at night along with proper, peaceful sleep. Following these habits, he said, can help keep the body healthy.

Patron of the camp, Sheikh Aleemuddin Asadi, said that creating health awareness among people in today’s times is a noble deed. He added that the Unani system is our precious heritage, and during the Covid period, people relied heavily on it to boost their immunity. He noted that a large number of people benefited from today’s camp and assured that similar camps would continue to be organised in the future with the support of the Tibbi Congress.

Among the doctors who offered their voluntary services at the camp were Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan; Dr. Zakiuddin; Dr. S.M. Arif Zaidi; Dr. Shakeel Ahmad; Dr. Ghayasuddin Siddiqi; Dr. Faheem Malik; Dr. Mahmood Alam; Dr. Nargis Malik; Dr. Ahsan Ahmad Siddiqi; Dr. Faizan Ahmad Siddiqi; Hakim Murtaza Dehlvi; Israr Ahmad Ujjaini, National Coordinator of AIUTC; and Advocate Shah Jabin Qazi.
