Jaipur: The All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC), Rajasthan State, held an important meeting at Sindhi Camp under the chairmanship of Dr. Mahmood Ahsan Siddiqui, Deputy Director of Unani Medicine, Government of Rajasthan. The event saw the participation of Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, Secretary General of AIUTC, as the Chief Guest, and Professor Ghulam Qutub Chishti, former Dean of the Faculty of Unani Medicine at Ayurveda University, Jodhpur, as the Guest of Honour.
The programme commenced with recitation of the Quran by Dr. Waseeur Rahman, President of AIUTC Rajasthan Student Wing. Prominent attendees included Dr. Mohammed Haroon, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Professor Mohammed Safwan, Professor Sabir Hussain, Dr. Anas Qureshi, Dr. Natiq Khan, and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Verma, among others, who shared their insights during the meeting.
During the event, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan was felicitated with floral accolades and congratulated on receiving the Rashtriya Gaurav Award in recognition of his medical and social contributions. The programme was skilfully moderated by Professor Syed Abdul Mujeeb.
It was announced that, in honour of World Unani Medicine Day on February 16, the AIUTC Rajasthan will organise a symposium on the theme “National and Community Services of Hakim Ajmal Khan”. The event will feature the participation of the organisation’s National President, Professor Mushtaq Ahmed, and Professor Mohammed Idris.
