Jaipur: An important meeting of All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC), Rajasthan State, was held in Shastri Nagar here Sunday, under the patronage of Professor G. Q. Chishti, National Vice President, and chaired by State President Dr. Mahmood Ahsan Siddiqui, with the presence of State Vice President Professor Dr. M. Azam Ansari.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Professor Safwan. After the recitation, General Secretary of AIUTC Rajasthan State, Dr. Syed Abdul Mujeeb, thanked all the officials and office-bearers for arriving on time, and initiated the proceedings as per the agenda. Detailed discussions were held on the listed agenda points.
A key proposal was to organise a one-day National Symposium on the occasion of the upcoming World Sexual Health Day. After discussions and exchange of views, it was decided that the National Seminar would be held on 7 September 2025.
In his address, Professor Ghulam Qutub Chishti warmly welcomed the colleagues who had collectively resigned from AIUTC and returned to rejoin their former organisation, AIUTC Rajasthan State. Among them were Professor Sirajul Haq, Dr. Mohammad Roshan, Dr. Firoz Ahmad, Dr. Faizan Hussain Khan, Dr. Rafi Ahmad, and others.
Professor Azam Ansari, in his address, said that it is a great achievement for any organisation when its former members return to work together to advance the same mission and movement. Dr. Zakir Hussain, Deputy Treasurer, also welcomed the newly joined members and extended his congratulations.
General Secretary Dr. Syed Abdul Mujeeb, who conducted the meeting, stated that the upcoming National Symposium would be attended by intellectuals and Unani experts from across the country. Wasee-ur-Rahman, President of the Student Wing of AIUTC Rajasthan State, also drew the attention of all present and made several important points in his address, which were met with applause and encouragement from the gathering.
Finally, the Chairperson congratulated the newly joined members and thanked everyone present at the meeting.
