Al Ikhwan Trust Conducts Drug Addiction Awareness Programme

Puttur: The menace of drug and other intoxicants usage is spreading in the coastal area of Karnataka. The virus has silently penetrated into the student community even at the secondary school level. A local NGO of Puttur town in Dakshin Kannada district has endeavoured to clean educational institutions from this nuisance.

Al Ikhwan Charitable Trust in collaboration with St. Philomena PU College recently organised an awareness programme at SJM Hall for students on the ill effects of drug addiction and road safety.

The director of Anugrah Training College Abdul Rahim imparted training on the ill effects of drug addiction. While the city police sub-inspector MK Kutty enlightened the students about the road safety measures and traffic rules. St. Philomena PU College Principal Ashok Ryan presided over the programme.

The Trust General Secretary Muhammad Afrid and Programme Director and Trust Members Muhammad Fazil and Jalal and other members were also present on the occasion.
