Santhapuram, Kerala, Jan. 4: Al-Jamia Al-Islamia, a distinguished educational institution hosted a two-day convocation on Saturday and Sunday, showcasing a diverse range of programs including insightful seminars, intellectual summits, and collaborative discussions.
The festivities commenced with a seminar on Higher Education and Minority Empowerment chaired by Dr. Kootil Muhammed Ali and inaugurated by Dr. Mubarak Pasha. Distinguished speakers addressed critical topics, including Indian Bureaucracy and Minority Representation by Dr. ZA Ashraf and Islamic Higher Education and Muslim Empowerment by Dr. Nahas Mala.
An intellectual summit followed, exploring “The New World Order is on Arrival.” Notable papers like “Will Gaza Reshape Global Politics?” by P.K. Niaz were presented, complemented by expert talks featuring O. Abdurahman and V.A. Kabeer.
The Urdu Conference, “Religious Institutions in India: Collaborative Possibilities,” united prominent scholars discussing collaborative opportunities in Indian religious institutions. The Alumni Conference (Urdu) marked the first gathering after the university’s formation, electing Asim Khan and Kashif Hasan as National Convener and Co-Convener of Al Jamia Urdu Alumni.
The Leaders Meet on “Future India” included discussions led by Syed Sadatullah Husaini, President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab, and E.T. Mohammed Basheer. The event provided diverse insights into the vision for India’s future.
Adding vibrancy to the festivities, ALJ Talk and Cultural Carnival featured informative talks by students and a Cultural Carnival with drama, street plays, live quizzes, and expressions of solidarity with Palestine.
The convocation hosted dignitaries such as Syed Sadatullah Husaini, Dr. Abdul Qadeer, and V. Abdulrahman. Going beyond academic celebration, the ceremony evolved into a platform for intellectual exchange and collaboration, embodying the institution’s commitment to excellence and holistic development.
